BLOG 8: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

 

Hi everyone!! In this opportunity I’m going to talk about the changes to my study programme.

 

I’m studding forest engineering three years ago and I wouldn’t change that we have seen and studied. I feel that all the contents are fine, because we are integrating content about flora, fauna, soil characteristics, ecosystems, forest products and services, among others.

About the way they teach us something contents is very well, because we can practice them through laboratories, recognizing species, different practical projects and the practice we do in summer period.

Whit this we teach of better form the information that our teachers give us, because we can bring to reality, but in something cases, also the teachers prefer just teach the theory form and leave us freelance work, for example, just the reading text.

About the academic charge, I feel that something is excessive, because the hour we are in the university or the online class in this pandemic context, we are class from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every week for our schedule. After that, we have to continue studying in our houses. This leaves us very little time for us, do things that we like and share with our family.

Also, I think that the installations of our faculty, for example, the classroom or computer room, they should improve, because always they are small for the number of students we are.

BLOG 6: POST GRADUATED STUDIES

Hi everybody! In this week I am going to talk about to my post graduate studies.

Sincerely, in this moment to my life, I don’t think so much in curser a post graduate studies, like magister, principally, because of the expensive the studies in Chile. I don’t pay the career of forestry engineering because I study with a scholarship that covers the 100% of tuition, so think finance other studies is a hard decision.

But if the money doesn’t have a problem, I would like study a magister in environmental management and planning in the Universidad de Chile.

With this study I could specially more in different subjects, like environmental socio-economics, environmental law, environmental impact assessment to different projects in Chile, etc. for make scientific research and propose solutions to environmental problems and, this way, contribute in the well-being to the people and her relation with the ecosystems.

would like study the magister in Chile on account of my family and my friends, I think leave of the country could be hard for me haha But I believe if I had the opportunity to study in another country I take this to know other culture, people, flora and fauna, among other things.

I’m very tired the online class, so I prefer presential class in part-time course that allows me to work and for this way finance my priority necessities and the studies.

BLOG 5: MY FUTURE JOB

 

Hi, today I´m going to talk about to my future job.

In the future, I would like to work in studies and investigation about the wildlife and its relationship with the ecosystem. Specially the native wildlife from Chile and its state of conservation.

I imagine working in the field with people that have many things to contribute to my professional life and doing sample methods for know the abundance, understand its behavior, eating habit, where they live, among other things.

For this I would like to travel to different places in Chile and the world, comparing the different species that live in different environments and ecosystems.

About the salary, I have never thought in how much I want to earn for the work that I do, but I guess long enough to live independent, travel for many places, continue with my studies and take specialization courses.

I would like to take a course about invasive and not invasive methods for the study of carnivorous animals, for example, cougars, Andeans foxes, Colo-Colo cat, among others. With this, I can know what species it belongs to, what do they eat, what is her distribution in the country and in the case that they are in danger, take the best decision for its conservation.

In the moment that I finish my studies and courses about this, I would like to teach everything that I know about wildlife that live in our country.

BLOG 4: CAREER RELATED TOPIC

 

Hi everybody, in this opportunity I am going to talk about the career that I chose to be a professional and how was the election. Honestly, I never knew what I wanted to study or what to do when I grow up. I used to like a lot of things but nothing in specific. My grades were relatively good at school, but I didn't stand out in any subject in specific.

 When I was a little girl, sometimes I wanted to be a teacher, another times I wanted to be a veterinary or study to be a great architect. What I always had clearly was my interest in plants and ecosystems, besides wanting to be a contribution for the people and the society.

Finally, in my last year of school, thanks to the vocational fairs that different universities performed in the school where I studied, I known "Forestry Engineering", the career that included all the things that I was interested and that i liked.

 

To be sincere, in the first year of university I wasn't totally convinced of my choice, but as time passed I realized that this is really what I like and what I want to do in the future: be able to understand, handle or  keep the different ecosystem of our country to increase the wellness of people, getting better their life quality and trying that they participate in the decisions that affect them directly when it comes to the forest systems.

BLOG 3:MY FAVORITE MOVIE

Hi! In this blog I’m going to talk about my favorite movie

When I was 6 years old, with my brother and my mom every day we watched Harry Potter and the secret camera, when the movies were in VHS. Since that moment the film becomes in my favorite movie. With my mother can watch every films of Harry Potter time after time and never we are boring. I feel this like a thing connect with my mom, especially in this time.

 

Really, I never read the books haha but the movie is spectacular to me, with the special effects, the actors and actress, the plot is amazing. I think the movie included different topics as adventure, fantasy, action, drama and this convert the movies a wonderful saga. Also, one of the things most I like is the created a magic world, with dragons, elf, centaur and a lot of the fantastic creatures because this thing never will happen in the real life and doesn’t’ exist. 

Furthermore, in my opinion the development of all the character is very interesting in the physical characteristics and his personality’s. 

BLOG 1: A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT.

 Hi Everyone, I´m going to talk about the country I would like to visit.

In my case, I never been out of Chile, but I always dream stay in a beach, whit the sun in the sand in Brazil. The country has a very beautiful and splendid places, especially the beaches, like Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro and the famous Cristo Redentor, also in Rio de Janeiro.

 

 

One of things that most I like is the Carnival of Brazil. It is an annual festival and the celebration during some days in the February and march. The music, dance, happiness is a typic thing in the festival and this is fantastic. Personally, I like de parties, the good climate, dance, the culture, so I think the place is specially to me.

 

In my opinion the place is perfectly for vacation, but I don’t know if I stay for a long time to study, work or live here. This, because brazil is a country has a very hot and humid climate, so I wouldn’t get used to it and furthermore the Portuguese is a little difficult to me, the same with the English language haha.
